About me

Hey, I’m Nathan! I'm glad you've joined me on my journey through sharing music with the world!

I first picked up a guitar when I was a kid, taking weekly lessons and spending years learning the basics of an instrument that would eventually become a much bigger part of my life.

Like a lot of things, though, life got in the way. After a devastating loss, I struggled to pick up my guitar for a long time, and it ended up sitting there while life carried on around it.

Eventually, I picked up a guitar again.

What started as simply playing guitar became something much more meaningful. I found that music gave me a way to express things that I couldn’t always put into words. It's become a way to process emotions, clear my head, have some fun, and most importantly, be myself.

And that’s what eventually led me here.

What’s so special about music?

For me, music is about more than just playing an instrument or recording a song.

Music brings people together.

It can make you remember someone, help you through a difficult day, give you something to celebrate, or simply put a smile on your face. Sometimes a song can say exactly what you’re feeling when you don’t quite know how to say it yourself.

That’s what music is for me.

I decided to start releasing my own recordings because I believe music is something that should be shared. If someone listens to something I’ve made and it moves them somehow — whether that’s happiness, sadness, nostalgia, comfort, or even just gives them a few minutes of enjoyment — then it’s completely worth it.

I don’t necessarily have everything figured out yet, and I’m okay with that.

I’m still discovering what I want this journey to become, learning as I go and seeing where music takes me. For now, I simply want to share my take on the music I love with anyone who wants to listen along.

Inspirations

I don’t have a huge list of artists who have influenced me. I’m much more drawn to the music itself — the feeling of a song, the way it’s performed, and the connection it can create with the person listening.

That said, one artist I really admire is Ed Sheeran.

His ability as a guitarist is incredible, particularly when performing live. There’s something pretty special about watching one person build an entire performance using nothing more than a guitar, their voice and a loop pedal.

It’s something I’d love to be able to do myself one day.

For now, I’m learning, experimenting, recording, and enjoying the process.

Where to from here?

Now why would I spoil the surprise?

There are plenty of songs I want to cover, plenty of things I still want to learn, and hopefully plenty of original music to come.

This isn’t about having a perfectly mapped-out career or knowing exactly where I’ll be five years from now.

It’s about picking up the guitar, pressing record, and seeing what happens.

Thanks for being here, and thanks for listening.
